Ms. Britain Hopkins lived in Chile, where she wrote, traveled, and made many friends in the first year and a half after graduating from Barnard College in 2009. She has recently finished work as a teaching assistant for Emory University's Tibetan Studies Program in Dharamsala, India. She is interested in the fragmentation of space and human experience in the age of the visual image and within commodified culture.
Ms. Hopkins' Fulbright-Nehru research is titled as "Agricultural Alternatives and Communities: Organic Foods in India." Through this research she will explore organic foods and the global food industry in India in conjunction with the Navdanya, Dehraduna food advocacy network based in Delhi and Uttarakhand, |
